Blended education the right solution for inclusive dev, says Dipu Moni

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, MP said that Blended Education is the right solution for inclusive development of Bangladesh.

‘We are now formulating the National Blended Education Policy from primary to postgraduate education and a National Taskforce has been formed with several subcommittees. Hoping to submit the complete policy to the Prime Minister on 26 March 2022.’

She told these while speaking as the Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony of “COL-DIU Joint Project on Advanced ICT Skills Courses for Employability” organized by the Blended Learning Center of Daffodil International University in association with the Commonwealth of Learning.

The minister said, now the government has initiated National Intelligence for Skills, Education,

Employment and Entrepreneurship (NISE3) and put more emphasis on need-based

curricula, outcome-based education, technical and vocational education, various

internship and placement programs. New National Curriculum is being designed and

introduced from Grade 1 to 12. She hoped that these graduates and industry interns

won’t have to wait for jobs but rather can create jobs for others.

Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice-Chancellor of Daffodil International University presided over the inaugural session where Excellency Mr. ITO Naoki, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh, Prof Biswajit Chanda, Member of the University Grants Commission, Ms. Kate Sangster, First Secretary, High Commission of Australia in Bangladesh, MrAnir Chowdhury- Policy Adviser of a2i, Dr Sanjaya Mishra-Director of Education at Commonwealth of Learning, Prof. Dr. Md Aktaruzzaman- COL-DIU Project Lead and Director of BLC at Daffodil were present as the special guests. In the program short video presentation on Cybersecurity and Social & Digital Media Content were presented by Prof. TouhidBhuyan, Head of CSE Department,NuruzzamanFaruqi and Amit Chakrobortiof Daffodil International University.

Education Minister also said, the Father of the Nation dreamt ‘Sonar Bangla’ – a hunger and corruption free, prosperous Bangladesh. Bearing the same philosophy but in a digital world his dream has been transformed into ‘Digital Bangladesh’by 2021 under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and Her ICT Adviser. Now the country is heading towards ‘Innovative Bangladesh’ to obtain the milestone of Vision 2041.

Under this one year long project 400 graduates and industry interns will be trained up in such a way that they won’t have to wait for jobs but rather can create job opportunities.
