Eleven more people have tested positive for Covid-19 in the division on Sunday, taking the caseload to 1,19,171 since the pandemic began in March, 2020.
The new positive cases are showing a rising trend compared to the previous day’s figure of one, said Dr Habibul Ahsan Talukder, divisional director of Health.
As no more fatality was reported during the past 24 hours, the death toll remained static at 1,747, including 705 in Bogura, 341 in Rajshahi with 219 in its city and 179 in Natore, as no infected cases were reported in the division for the last couple of days, Dr Talukder added.
Meanwhile, the recovery count rose to 1,15,443 in the division after six patients were discharged from the hospitals on the same day.
Besides, all the positive cases of the lethal virus have, so far, been brought under necessary treatment while 26,047 were kept in isolation units of different dedicated hospitals for institutional quarantine. Of them, 22,976 have been released by now.
A total of 15 more people have been sent to home and institutional quarantine afresh while 11 others were released from isolation during the same time.
Of the 11 new cases, five were detected in Pabna, followed by two each in Rajshahi city and Bogura and one each in Natore and Sirajganj districts.
With the newly detected patients, the district-wise break-up of the total cases now stands at 33,930 in Rajshahi, including 27,924 in its city, 6,521 in Chapainawabganj, 7,704 in Naogaon, 9,903 in Natore, 5,670 in Joypurhat, 24,931 in Bogura, 13,746 in Sirajganj and 16,766 in Pabna.
A total of 1,25,005 people have, so far, been kept under quarantine since March 10, 2020 to prevent the community transmission of the deadly virus.
Of them, 1,24,102 have, by now, been released as they were given clearance certificates after completing their quarantine period.
