Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSad) President Hasanul Haq Inu today said many BNP leaders were directly-indirectly involved in the crimes relating to militancy.
“Cracking down on the perpetrators of arson and militant attacks does not mean political torture or destruction of the opposition parties,” he told reporters after inauguration of a newly constructed building of Women’s Degree College at Mirpur here.
Inu said all criminals involved in arson and militant attacks, irrespective of their identity, must be brought to justice.
He urged the BNP leaders to look at themselves on the mirror, before lodging complaint, saying that many leaders of the party had led directly the arson attacks.
Inu, also the chairman of the parliamentary standing committee on Information and Broadcasting Ministry, said that those who were involved in killing people through launching arson attacks should be kept in jail.
“The present government will not allow those who are trying to change their voice after burning and killing innocent people,” he added.
Mirpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdul Quader, District Jasad President Golam Mohsin and teachers/students were present at the function.
