Grameenphone, central bank renew agreement to expedite digitization

Aftermaintaining a partnership of thirteen years, Grameenphone, the connectivity partner to Digital Bangladesh, and Bangladesh Bank have renewed their agreement to accelerate digitization further.

Under the agreement, Bangladesh Bank will utilize GP Mobility and its innovative ICT solutions while Grameenphone will ensure the best network support to the central bank.

On behalf of the Bangladesh Bank, Md Rafiqul Islam, general manager, and from Grameenphone, Nurul Ferdous Musanna, head of Government and Strategic Account, inked the dealrecently, said a press release.  

At the agreement signing ceremony, Kazi Md MonirUddin, deputy general manager; Md Abul Hashem, joint director; and other high officials from the Bangladesh Bank were present.

Representing Grameenphone, Khandaker Riaz Rahman, head of Government and Strategic-1; Mohammad RezwanUllah, head of Financial Regulator and Institutional Strategic Relations; and Md Ershadul Islam and TajrinaAlam, srategicaccount managers, were also present.
