United Commercial Bank Ltd recently signed an agreement with Bangladesh Bank (BB) for availing refinance fund under the Asian Development Bank aided Supporting Post COVID-19 Small Scale Employment Creation Project (SPCSSECP), a press release said Wednesday.
Under the initiative, UCB will offer credit facilities to cottage, micro and small enterprises at subsidized interest rate.
Arif Quadri, Managing Director & CEO of UCB and Ms. Nurun Nahar, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank signed the agreement on behalf of the respective organizations.
Abu Farah Md. Nasser, Deputy Governor, BB, Dongdong Zhang of ADB, Md. Jaker Hossain, GM, SMESPD, BB, Md. Mohsinur Rahman, Head of SME, UCB and other officials were also present in the program.
