The covid-19 death toll in Bangladesh has surpassed the 10 thousand mark as another 94 deaths from the deadly virus in the new single-day count as of Thursday.
The death toll climbed to 10,081 in the 24 hours to 8:00 am Thursday, according to data released by the government.
The number of fresh cases declined significantly as the country recorded 4,192 new cases of the coronavirus, taking the tally to 7,07,362.
The country’s maiden cases were reported on March 8 last year and the first death from the virus was reported on March 18 that year.
