Eswatini team visits Beximco Industrial Park

A delegation from Eswatini comprising Senator Manqoba Khumalo, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Eswatini, visited the Beximco Industrial Park and Shinepukur Ceramics on Thursday, a press release said.

Senator Manqoba Khumalo with Cebile Amanda Nhlabatsi, under secretary, Ministry of Commerce, industry and trade, Mluleki Sakhile Dlamini, director MSME, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Dr. Khanyisile Dlamini, senior executive manager, Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority, accompanied by the Bangladesh officials Md. Tarikul Islam, director general, Africa Wing of Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and his team, visited Beximco’s  Vertical Leeds Green certified Industrial Park and took interest in Beximco’s initiatives on value addition and innovation using Advanced Technology, Education and R&D as key drivers.

Senator Manqoba Khumalo was highly impressed by the advanced technologies deployed by BEXIMCO in its vertical manufacturing units and extensive measures taken to achieve a global leadership position in sustainability.

 He said Bangladesh and especially BEXIMCO is truly inspirational for Eswatini and can play a significant role to establish textiles industries and can be benefited mutually in this sector.

They were also very keen to be updated on Beximco’s initiatives on sustainability including Beximco’s collaboration with Recovertex, a global leader on recycling post production consumer waste, state of the art effluent treatment plant along with RO systems for re-cycling water and the sustainable washing plant with most advanced technologies under single roof.

The delegation was also impressed to see Shinepukur Ceramics which produces fine porcelain and high end Bone-China for customers including Royal Doulton, Royal Albert and others.
