Bangladesh face Nepal today

Bangladesh U-20 national football team face Nepal in the ultimate league match of the SAFF U-20 Championship scheduled to be held Tuesday at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, India.

The match kicks off at 4.30 pm (BST).

Bangladesh team placed top of the table with nine points after winning all their last three matches. India and Nepal have six points each from three matches and also have a chance to go to the top position in the table. So, it is not yet certain which of the two teams will play the final of the SAFF U- 20 Championship.

After defeating Sri Lanka, India and Maldives, Bangladesh team are waiting a good finish against Nepal. If Bangladesh able to win their last match against Nepal, the red-green jersey holders will reach the final with full 12 points.

Bangladesh team must be looking forward to maintain their winning run against Nepal.

Earlier, Bangladesh managed a hard-fought solitary goal victory over Sri Lanka, courtesy of Mirazul Islam’s all-important goal in the 71st minute of the match, in their tournament opening match and defeated host India by 2-1 goals in their second match and overpowered the Maldives by 4-1 goals in their third match of the championship.

The top two teams will qualify for the final which will be held on August 5.

A total of five teams– defending champions India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Maldives– are taking part in the tournament which is being held in round robin league basis.
