At the end of another difficult year for students and schools, thousands of students in Bangladesh can celebrate this month after receiving their Cambridge International AS & A Level, IGCSE and O Level exam results.
Cambridge International, part of the University of Cambridge and the largest provider of international education for 5 to 19-year-olds has released the results of its June 2022 exam series to Cambridge IGCSE and O Level students in Bangladesh and around the world on Monday, a press release said.
Cambridge International AS & A Level results were released on 11 August.
In total, nearly half a million students worldwide entered Cambridge exams in June 2022 and saw 1.4 million entriesfor Cambridge exams from schools in 147 countries.
Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, exams went ahead in nearly all countries this year with more than 220,000 students making entries for Cambridge International AS & A Level and 250,000 students entering Cambridge IGCSE and O Level qualifications globally in June 2022.
Cambridge International engaged with education authorities, governments, and schools worldwide to ensure the June 2022 exam series ran safely and provided support to help students and teachers to adapt running of exams and other assessment to the disruption caused by Covid-19.
Students in Bangladesh have been able to gain the qualifications they need to take their next steps, which is a testament to their resilience and the ongoing support of their teachers, families, and communities.
In Bangladesh this session our entries increased by14percent on the June 2021 series.
Mathematics, English and Bengali were the most popular Cambridge IGCSE/O Level subjects and Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry were the most popularCambridge International AS & A Level subjects in Bangladesh.
