Bangladesh has reported 65 more coronavirus-related deaths in 24 hours until Monday morning, raising the total death toll to 11,644.
Health authorities also recorded 1,739 new infections as they examined19,431 samples during the time period.
The daily infection rate slipped to 8.95% from Sunday’s 9.6% while the death rate remained static at 1.52%.
The total caseload is now confirmed 7,63,632 cases , the Directorate General of Health Services said in a daily handout.
Meanwhile, the number of recoveries now stands at 6,91,162 including 3,834 new cases which indicate 90.50 percent of the patients have recovered.
Bangladesh reported its first coronavirus cases on March 8 last year and the first death on the 18th of that month.
