Police today arrested a microbus driver allegedly responsible for the death of a student Monday as the microbus hit him in the city’s Tejgaon industrial area.
Driver Ziaul Haque, 50, was arrested from Ashulia and the microbus was seized, deputy commissioner of DMP Tejgaon division HM Azimul Haque told.
Md Ali Hossain, a 10th-grader student of Tejgaon Government Science School and College, was hit by a microbus near BG Press in Tejgaon industrial area around 7am on Sunday.
After the incident, he was taken to a local hospital in a critical condition. Later, he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) following deterioration of his condition. He died in the DMCH.
A case was filed with concerned police station in this connection.
