Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited (BCBL) has signed a participation agreement with Bangladesh Bank (BB) in a one thousand crore taka refinancing scheme to increase the production of wheat and maize, a press release said Tuesday. A.K.M. Sajedur Rahman Khan, deputy Governor BB chaired the programme at the conference room of BB on September 25, 2022. The agreement was signed by MD and CEO Md. Tajul Islam on behalf of BCBL and director of agriculture credit department Md. Abul Kalam Azad on behalf of BB. Deputy director of agricultural credit division of BB, Marzia Akhter, joint director Md Hasan Chishti, DMD-2 of BCBL, Dr. Md. Abdul Kader, head of SME division Abdul Adud were also present.
