Bangladesh has registered 30 more deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours until Tuesday morning, pushing up the total number of fatalities to 12,211.
Besides, 1,272 new cases were diagnosed during the period after testing 16,855 samples, a handout of the Directorate General of Health Services said.
The daily infection rate rose to 7.55 percent from Monday’s 6.75 per cent.
Bangladesh reported it’s first coronavirus cases on March 8 last year and the first death on the 18th of that month.
With the new cases, the total caseload reached 7,28,129 while the total number of recoveries stood at 7,24,209, including 1,115 in the last 24 hours.
