Former information minister Habib Ullah Khan died from a heart attack at Evercare Hospital in the capital on Saturday. He is survived by one daughter.
Habib Ullah Khan served as information minister in the seventies and jute minister in the eighties, said a press release on Sunday. He was the first ambassador of Bangladesh to South Africa.
His wife Salma Khan was also an ambassador of Bangladesh to Indonesia. She passed away last July. Habib Ullah Khan’s namaz-e-janaza will be held after Juhr prayers at Azad Mosque in Gulshan on Tuesday.
Besides, he was the governor of Rotary International Bangladesh.The governor of Rotary International Bangladesh engineer MA Wahab expressed deep shock at the death and condoled the bereaved family.
