National Bank Limited has signed a participation agreement with Bangladesh Bank (BB) for disbursement of loans under Tk 5000 crore refinancing scheme for the agriculture sector on January 8, 2023, a press release said Wednesday. In the presence of BB Governor Abdur Rauf Talukdar, Managing Director & CEO of National Bank Limited, Md. Mehmood Husain and Director of Agricultural Credit Department of BB, Md. Abul Kalam Azad signed the agreement on behalf of their respective institutions. BB Deputy Governor A.K.M Sajedur Rahman Khan along with other senior officials of BB Agricultural Credit Department and chief executive officers of the banks participating in the scheme were also present.
