The country’s largest pop culture festival, “Dhaka Summer Con,” is being held for three days at Hall 3 and Hall 4 of Dhaka’s International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) on July 13, 14, and 15, featuring a wide range of entertainment facilities and activities, a press release said Saturday.
The second day of the Dhaka Summer Con, held on July 14 (Friday), witnessed a surge of youthful enthusiasm.
The activities on the second day included Group Cosplay, a Special Cosplay Group Performance, a Panel Discussion by Cartoon People, and a Panel Discussion by Don Samdani. Additionally, K-pop performances and a rap battle added to the special attractions of the day. Meanwhile, notable bands such as ‘Messianic Era,’ ‘Naive,’ ‘Encore,’ ‘Subconscious,’ ‘Aftermath,’ ‘Sonar Bangla Circus,’ ‘Ashes,’ ‘Brahmaputra,’ ‘Cryptic Fate,’ and ‘Artcell’ graced the stage with their concert performances.
The festival is organized by MediaQuest Bangladesh, the country’s premier local event management and public relations company.
On the final day of the festival, the bands ‘Relative,’ ‘Mechanics,’ ‘Carnival,’ ‘Black,’ ‘Arbovirus,’ ‘Avoid Rafa,’ and ‘Warphase’ will be performing. AK Rahul, Black Jang, and Shafayet are also scheduled to perform.
A total of 30 bands will perform on the main stage of Dhaka Summer Con. On the first day of the three-day concert, which took place on July 13 (Thursday), eight bands performed, including ‘Old Dhaka Diaries,’ ‘Feroz Jung,’ ‘Indalo,’ ‘Bangla Five,’ ‘Level Five,’ ‘Wounded,’ ‘Odd Signature,’ and ‘Dads in the Park.’ Furthermore, various events, including Hatirpool Sessions, a K-Pop Performance, and Rayhan Islam Shubo’s showcase, were also part of the festivities.
