Country’s renowned educationist, IT researcher, founder chairman of Computer Science and Engineering Department of Dhaka University and founder vice chancellor of Begum Rokeya University of Rangpur Professor Dr. Lutfar Rahaman has joined as the vice chancellor of Daffodil International University on 11July 2021 for second time, said a press release.
DIU board of trustee accepted his joining. Earlier he served the university as vice chancellor from 20 April 2011 to 19 April 2015. Before joining he had been working as the Emeritus Professor of the university.
The release said, Prof Lutfar started his career as a scientific officer at Atomic Energy Centre Dhaka in 1967. He started his teaching career as an assistant professor at Department of Applied Physics, Electronics and Communication Engineering of DU in 1984.
He was appointed founding vice chancellor of Begum Rokeya University in 2008. He returned to DU in 2009, and resumed his duty as dean of DIU’s Faculty of Science and Information Technology, the release also read.
