Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd., the leading paint solutions brand in the country, organized an award ceremony at the Charukola Auditorium on November 21, followed by the inauguration of two art exhibitions featuring participants of the Berger Young Painters’ Art Competition (BYPAC) and the awardees from FFA, press release said Tuesday.
The awardees at the ceremony include outstanding students from the eight departments of Faculty of Fine Arts of University of Dhaka, with a special accolade for the ‘BERGER Student of the Year’.
Md. Tariq-Bin-Akram from the Department of Graphic Design secured the prestigious ‘Student of the Year’ award this year, receiving a financial scholarship.
In addition to the ‘Student of the Year’, this year’s departmental awardees are TamannaTasneemSupti (Dept. of Drawing and Painting), Md. Tariq-Bin-Akram (Dept. of Graphic Design), Abu-Al-Naeem (Dept. of Printmaking), JoyantaBhowmik (Dept. of Oriental Art), Yasmin Akter (Dept. of Ceramic), Chandan Das (Dept. of Sculpture), Mumtahina Binte Sultan (Dept. of Craft), and AnadinyMogno (Dept. of History of Art). These awardees also received individual financial scholarships.
The ceremony was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including the Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Professor Nisar Hossain, Managing Director of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited Rupali Chowdhury, COO Md. Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, CBO Abul Kasem Mohammad Sadeque Nawaj and CMO Tanzeen Ferdous Alam.

The exhibitions featuring the artworks will be open to general visitors till November 26th (11 AM to 7 PM) at the Zainul Gallery of Charukola, University of Dhaka.
