HC for progress regarding e-judiciary, e-court

The High Court (HC) Wednesday passed an order, asking authorities concerned to inform it about the progress in implementing e-judiciary and e-court systems.

A High Court division virtual bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md Mostafizur Rahman passed the order after holding a hearing on a writ petition filed in this regard.

The court asked officials concerned including the law secretary to submit a report to this end by next two months and set October 20 for holding further hearing on the matter.

Advocate Farid Uddin Ahmed Bhuiyan filed and moved the plea before the court, while Deputy Attorney General Bipul Bagmar argued for the state.

Advocate Farid Uddin Ahmed Bhuiyan on December 11, 2019, had filed the writ and the High Court on January 19, 2020, after holding hearing on the matter, issued a rule asking authorities concerned to reply as to why it shall not pass order to bring all the courts in the country under e-judiciary project and to establish e-courts.
