Workers of Pandora Sweaters Ltd., a concern of Renaissance Group who receive salary through bKash, can now purchase daily necessities at affordable price from ‘Sulov Bazaar’ located at the factory premises, said a press release.
In addition to purchasing products through bKash payment, they can also enjoy a 5% cash back till 30th September, 2021.They can avail cash back up to BDT 25 in a day and a maximum of BDT 50 per month.
‘Sulov Bazaar’, agrocery shop inside the factory for daily necessities including food, will help workers make secure and direct payments from the salary received in bKash accounts without having to Cash Out. It will save their time and money as well.
The ‘Sulov Bazaar’ outlet was launched at the premises of Pandora Sweaters Ltd. at Gazipur yesterday through a joint initiative of Market Innovation International Limited and bKash. At the same time, bKash payment was also inaugurated by Syeda Shaila Ashraf, GM,HR, Admin and IT and Amran Al Mamun (Nipu), Senior GM, Operations from Renaissance Group; Ali Ahmmed, Chief Commercial Officer of bKash and Mehedi Md. Murad, Managing Director of Market Innovation International. Workers and senior officials of the organizations were also present. About 2000 workers of the factory will be able to purchase their daily necessary goods conveniently without using cash.
First outlet of ‘Sulov Bazaar’ was launched at Sonia Garments located at Ashulia in February, 2021for the benefits of the workers. There are plans to launch around 15 more ‘Sulov Bazaar’ outlets at different factories bythis year.
Currently, around 750,000 workers are receiving salary through bKash. After receiving salary, they can send money to their loved ones at home, recharge mobile balance, pay utility bills andavail other services. The convenience of buying products through bKash payment will further extend the scope of cashless transactions.
