Daffodil International University’s founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Md. Sabur Khan participated in two international seminars as the keynote speaker, said a press release.
He conducted a special session titled ‘Education in the New Normal – Redefining Teaching and Learning’ as the keynote speaker at the 2nd Asian Faculty Workshop 2021 organized through online by the University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) on August 25-29.
He also took part in the ‘Madayaw International Multidisciplinary Research Conference 2021’organized by San Pedro College, Philippines on August 25-26. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan presented the keynote address at the session titled ‘Sustainability in Higher Education: Teaching- Learning after Covid-19’.
The Asian Faculty Workshop is an initiative of the Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, China under the framework of Asian University Presidents Forum (AUPF). The aim of the workshop is to promote communication and strengthen the ties between faculty members in AUPF members and Asian Universities. The workshop was conducted in nine sessions conducted by higher education leaders of AUPF.
On the other hand, Madayaw International Multidisciplinary Research Conference was held under the theme ‘Conversations in the Post-Covid Era: Lessons Learned and the Way Forward’ in collaboration with Asia Pacific University-Community Engagement Network (APUCEN) and the Association of Universities of Asia and the Pacific (AUAP), following the aim to highlight & intertwined internationalization, linkages, community engagement, innovation and research.
Dr. Md. Sabur Khan said in the seminar that it is important to innovate new strategies in the teaching and learning process for sustainable education. The Covid epidemic has brought us to a new world. New strategies are needed to deal with this world. This new world cannot be tackled with the old education system and strategy.
Top academicians, international industry leaders, scientists, and policy-makers have joined the conference as the speakers and shared their experiences, expertise, insights, and thoughts in the light of this global crisis.
