In response to one of the most severe flood crises to hit Bangladesh in decades, Guardian Life Insurance Limited has taken a crucial step to alleviate the suffering of the affected population by donating 1 lac liters of clean drinking water to BRAC.
Since the onset of the floods on 20 August 2024, over 4.5 million people across 77 upazilas in 11 districts have been severely impacted. The flooding has led to widespread displacement and a growing scarcity of essential resources, particularly clean drinking water.
Access to clean drinking water is critical in preventing the spread of waterborne diseases such as cholera, typhoid and diarrhoea, which are becoming increasingly prevalent in the flood-affected areas. Guardian Life is providing clean water to support flood-affected communities, helping to protect their health and prevent disease outbreaks in these challenging times.
People across the country, along with NGOs and public and private organizations, have united to support the flood victims. Everyone is working tirelessly from all corners to assist those affected during this challenging time. Guardian Life remains committed to playing its part in these efforts, providing essential support to those in need and helping the country recover from this disaster.
