BRAC Bank co-workers have contributed one crore taka from their August 2024 salary to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) to support the treatment of those critically injured during the recent student-people uprising. BRAC Bank has waived the outstanding credit card debt of Md Abu Bakar Siddik, a client who tragically lost his life during the protest. In addition to the generous contribution to CMH, the bank employees contributed their funds to cover the principal due on Mr. Siddik’s card. The uprising led to significant changes in the country, with many losing their lives and thousands sustaining severe injuries. Realizing the urgent need for medical support, BRAC Bank co-workers came together to ensure that the wounded received the best care possible.
