A number of 96 puja mandaps set up for Sharodiyo Durga puja, the biggest religious festival for the Hindu community, got financial assistance from the BNP here to facilitate celebrating the festival smoothly.
District BNP President Dr. Moynul Hasan Sadik formally handed over the financial assistance to the mandap committee of Sadullapur upazila on Friday afternoon on behalf of BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Sadik said Acting Chairman of BNP Tarique Rahman took the initiative to disburse financial assistance to the puja mandaps committee to help them celebrate the festival.
Leaders of upazila puja celebration committee including Provat Adhikari, Bipul Chandra Sarker and BNP leaders were present on the occasion.
