Bangladesh Chatra Kallyan Trust demands change in education policy

A delegation of “Bangladesh Chhatra Kalyan Trust” exchanged views with the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) authorities on October 03 with a view to changing the education policy and curriculum and issuing quality textbooks. On behalf of Bangladesh Chhatra Kalyan Trust, the founder and executive director of Chhatra Kalyan Trust, Principal Nur Alam Talukdar, led the meeting. Chairman of the textbook board Professor Dr. AKM Riazul Hasan presided over the meeting. The meeting was also addressed by Board Curriculum Expert, Member Curriculum (Secondary Education) Prof. Rabiul Kabir Chowdhury, Member Curriculum (Primary Education) Prof. AFM Sarwar Jahan, Chief Editor of the NCTB and other senior officers of the NCTB Board. On behalf of Bangladesh Chhatra Kyllayn Trust, Director of the Trust and President of Bangladesh Nationalist Professional Party Md. Ariful Islam Zia, members of the Trust Major General (retd) Dr. Md. Azizul Islam, Dr. Md. Shahadat Hossain, Farooq Hasan, Dr. M, Helal, Md. Anwor Habib Kajal, Md. Sirjul Islam and Mizanur Rahman etc. In the discussion meeting, the speakers felt that a permanent education policy is necessary to formulate a complete and up-to-date education policy. Bangladesh Chhatra Kallayan Trust demanded the formation of National Education Reform Commission as soon as possible to reform the country’s education system.
