North South University (NSU) is jointly #1 University in Bangladesh, along with Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Daffodil International University, Jahangirnagar University, and Jashore University of Science and Technology, officially unveiled on Oct 09.
All of these five universities stand within the 801-1000 bracket. This year’s ranking included over 2000 universities from 115 countries.
A total of 17 Bangladeshi universities are ranked this year. Last year NSU jointly shared the top position with three Bangladeshi universities. From last year’s top-ranked four universities, Jahangirnagar University and NSU remain at this year’s rankings, while three new universities now share the top position with JU and NSU.
The Vice-Chancellor of NSU, Professor Dr. Abdul Hannan Chowdhury expressed his heartfelt gratitude about the latest success, stating, “This achievement stands as a clear reflection of the hard work, dedication, and commitment of each member of our university community — students, faculty, staff, and alumni alike, and the guidance of the NSU Board of Trustees. We also thank the Ministry of Education, the University Grants Commission, and other regulatory bodies for their cooperation, as well as our fellow universities for their inspiration. Moving forward, NSU remains committed to nurturing future leaders, fostering innovation, and advancing higher education in Bangladesh.”
This recognition as the top-ranked university in Bangladesh shows the potential of the whole NSU community to push boundaries and influence the future of education both nationally and internationally.
