Customers can avail this facility from approximately 2,500 ATMs of 19 leading commercial banks across the country using the bKash app or by dialling 247#. Along with the cash out facility of up to Tk 50,000 per month at the cost of Tk 14.90 per thousand at two ‘Priyo Agent’ numbers, this convenient new service of ‘cash out at Tk 7 per thousand’ empowers customers with greater financial freedom and flexibility in their daily transactions.
Besides, families of the expatriates can utilise remittance to take various services through their bKash accounts, including paying for goods and services, utility bills, send money, mobile recharges, educational and government fees, donations and many other services from the comfort of their homes.
Meanwhile, bKash’s remittance service is becoming increasingly popular among expatriates as it offers a convenient, instant, and secure way to send money to their loved ones back home. bKash has created a robust ecosystem for remittance transfers by partnering with over a hundred international Money Transfer Operators (MTOs) and leading commercial banks in the country. To cash out from an ATM, the customer needs to dial *247# or select the ‘Cash Out’ option on the bKash app. Here, they need to choose ‘From ATM’ option and enter the bKash account PIN. An OTP will be sent to the customer’s mobile via SMS. This OTP will be active for 5 minutes and can be used only once.
Next, they need to press the ‘bKash Cash Out’ button located at the bottom left corner of the ATM screen and select the preferred language. Then, enter the bKash account number and the amount to be cashed out to proceed to the next step. By entering the OTP received via SMS and verifying their information, customer will get the money. Customer will receive a confirmation SMS from bKash after the transaction.
