3-day medical exhibition begins today

A three-day exhibition of healthcare and medical equipment, MEDEXPO 2024 will begin tomorrow at hotel InterContinental Dhaka to showcase the latest state-of-the-art products.

National professor Dr. AK Azad Khan, Chairman of the Health Sector Reform Commission of the Interim Government and president, Diabetic Association of Bangladesh is scheduled to inaugurate the 10th edition of the exhibition at 11:00 am as the chief guest, said a press release today.

Leading hospitals and healthcare service providers from India, Thailand, and host Bangladesh along with diagnostic and medical equipment manufacturers, and suppliers will showcase their latest state-of-the-art products during the Exhibition.

The release said that participating organizations will offer special discounts on their products and services.

Besides, renowned specialist doctors from local and foreign hospitals will provide free consultations about the latest treatment methods to interested visitors, it added.

Kazi Wahidul Alam, organizer of MEDEXPO 2024 said, “The exhibition will provide a platform for direct interactions among various stakeholders of the healthcare and medical sectors.”

Both the sellers and buyers of various medical equipment, products, and healthcare services would benefit from the event, he added.

Apollo Hospitals Group from India will host a health awareness seminar on November 7 at the fair venue at 3:00 pm. Topics like robotics in joint replacement and recent advances in laparoscopic surgeries will be discussed by the experts.

MEDEXPO 2024 will be held from November 6-8, 2024, and will remain open for visitors from 10 am to 8 pm every day.
