In the presence of the leaders from 37 higher education institutions across 14 countries, a momentous agreement was signed, with Daffodil International University (DIU) standing as the sole representative from Bangladesh to uplift Bangladesh’s role in global academic engagement. These institutions have committed to collaborate in establishing and developing the Asia Alliance University (AAU).
This agreement was formalized on October 31, 2024, during the 22nd Asian University Presidents Forum (AUPF) 2024, held at Dongseo University in Busan, South Korea. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of DIU, joined this prestigious consortium to uplift Bangladesh’s role in global academic engagement. Dr. Khan also shared vision for its implementation with university leaders at the 22nd AUPF 2024. He also called for a united effort and discussed- how the successful implementation of this historic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) could bring transformative advancements in educational environments.
The Asia Alliance University (AAU) is a student-centric, collaborative network of universities across Asia and beyond, dedicated to offering students flexible, cross-institutional learning pathways. With AAU, DIU students including students from other member institutions can choose to study for one or two years at any member university, either on-campus or online, with all credits fully recognized and transferable across the network. This student-focused approach allows learners to personalize their academic journey, seamlessly continuing their studies at an AAU institution of their choice as transfer or exchange students, enriching their education through diverse, cross-cultural experiences.
