Southeast Bank PLC. formally launched 16 (Sixteen) Agent Banking outlets, “Shagotom,” to facilitate the unbanked people across the country, especially in the rural and semi-urban areas of Cox’s Bazar, Cumilla, Dhaka, Faridpur, Gazipur, Jhalokathi, Khulna, Natore, Noakhali, Satkhira, Shariatpur, and Tangail. Its main objective is to uphold the trend of financial inclusion and spread banking services to every corner of the country. Nuruddin Md Sadeque Hossain, Managing Director of Southeast Bank PLC., virtually inaugurated the formal operation of the 16 (Sixteen) Agent Banking outlets. Other bank officials and proprietors of the 16 (Sixteen) Agent outlets were also present virtually at the launching ceremony.
