United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB), under the agricultural support scheme ‘Bhoroshar Notun Janala’, has recently organized a skill development training program for agri-entrepreneurs hailing from Sherpur. The day-long program was held at the auditorium of Sherpur Shilpakala Academy on 12 December. Following the directives of the Bangladesh Bank, UCB has been organizing such training in different districts of the country for promising agricultural entrepreneurs as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. Rezaul Karim Siddique, Presenter of BTV’s agriculture-based show ‘Mati O Manush’ and an agricultural analyst, was present at the event as the chief guest. Mohammad Shakhauth Hossain, Deputy Director, Department of Agriculture Extension, Sherpur; Dr. Palash Kanti Dutta, Upazila Livestock Officer of Sherpur; Pranab Kumar Karmakar, District Fisheries Officer and Md. Sharif Hasan Sarkar, Manager, Agrani Bank PLC, Jamalpur Branch, were present as respected guests.
