Five students from Khulna division have got nominations for the final round of the country’s one of the largest talent-based TV reality show ‘Ispahani Mirzapur Banglabid.’
More than one thousand students from class VI to X participated in the selection competition on the premises of Khulna Zilla School in Khulna city on Friday.
Ispahani Tea Limited is organising the competition for the sixth year to aware the new generation of Bangla language and culture.
The judges of the competition were Moumita Roy, associate professor of the Bangla Department of Khulna University, and renowned recitation artist Mahidul Islam.
Later, the selected students were given awards by Mohammad Saiful Islam, deputy commissioner of Khulna, and Zafar Ali Khan, divisional manager of Ispahani Tea Limited.
First, 20 contestants were selected through 40 literature and grammar-based multiple-choice questions and 30 comprehensive questions. Later, the judges verified the contestants’ ability to pronounce Bangla words properly. Thus, the top five were selected.
The first, second and third place winners of the ‘Beautiful Handwriting’ competition were given Tk 5,000, Tk 3,000 and Tk 2,000 respectively.
At the end of the main event in Dhaka, the topper will get a scholarship of Tk10,00,000 while the second and third place winners will receive scholarships of Tk3,00,000 and Tk2,00,000 respectively.
In addition, the first ten contestants will receive a laptop, Bangla books worth Tk50,000 and a bookcase to create a personal library.
