Eastern Bank PLC (EBL) has announced a partnership with Moner Bondhu, to provide free mental health and wellbeing services to women workers in the Ready-Made Garments (RMG) sector. This initiative, under EBL’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, is set to benefit over 5,000 women through Moner Bondhu’s exclusive counseling and well-being services. Ahmed Shaheen, Additional Managing Director of EBL, handed over a cheque for the program to Tawhida Shiropa, founder and CEO of Moner Bondhu at a ceremony held at EBL’s head office in Dhaka. The cheque handover ceremony was attended by Architect Tasbir Shatil, Director; Kazi Rumana Haque, Head of Mental Health Program and Lead Psychosocial Counselor; Md. Asif Iqbal, in charge of Finance and Accounts; Sapphire Hossain Khan, Project Portfolio Manager; Nawshaba Hridita, Assistant Manager of Content and Marketing from Moner Bondhu ; and Head of Communications and External Affairs Ziaul Karim; Company Secretary Md. Abdullah Al Mamun FCS; Saiful Islam, Head of RMD and Md. Safiqul Islam Zahid, Head, Financial Operations and Control from EBL.
