A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Signing Ceremony between Bangladesh Lions Foundation and All Bangladesh Senior Citizens Welfare Society was held Saturday at Lion Humayun Zahir Auditorium, Lions Tower, Agargaon of the capital, said a press release
.Engr. Md. Fazlul Hoque, Secretary General, All Bangladesh Senior Citizens Welfare Society and Md. Jafar Iqbal, Secretary General, Bangladesh Lions Foundation signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU on behalf of their respective organizations.
Under the agreement insolvent and middle class senior citizens with the age of 60 + will get special discount facilities in all kinds of services available in Bangladesh Lions Foundation. Attendants/ guides or wheel Chairs will be provided for hospital patients, especially for senior Citizens where it is necessary. Special counseling will be given to Senior Citizens considering the recommendation of the senior citizens society.
Qazi Akramuddin Ahmed, PMJF, Ambassador of Goodwill, LCI International Director 2018-2021, Chairman, Standard Bank Ltd. inaugurated the MOU Signing Ceremony. Md. Ali Noor, Secretary, Ministry of Health Education and Family Welfare Division, People’s Republic of Bangladesh graced the occasion as the Chief guest while Sheikh Kabir Hossain, PMJF, Past International Director, LCI graced the occasion as the Special Guest. Daffodil International University, Nazmul Haque, PMJF, gat Area Leaderwere present as the guests of Honour. A K M Rezaul Hoque, MJF, PCC, Ambassador of Goodwill, LCI and Chairman, Bangladesh Lions Foundation presided over the program. The program was also addressed by Major General ( Rtd.) Jibon Kanai Das Advisor and and Prof. Dr. Sarder A Nyeem, Patron ofAll Bangladesh Senior Citizens Welfare Society, Md. Jafar Iqbal, Secretary General, , Engr. Md. Wahidur Rahman Azad, MJF, S. Speakers at the program praised the MOU signed for the welfare of senior citizens and treat it as a milestone. They urged all to keep close eye on the proper implementation of the MOU.
