It’s right time to promote ‘Made in Bangladesh’ globally: BGMEA Cheif

Time is ripe for Bangladesh to showcase its attainments and potential globally to create a place for its products in the world market.

BGMEA President Faruque Hassanmade the remark at the logo launching of “Made in Bangladesh” campaign in Dhaka on Thursday (December9).

Under the initiative of the Ministry of Commerce, Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI), in cooperation with Spellbound Leo Burnett (local representative of CNNIC) organized the Inception and Networking Session of “Made in Bangladesh” Campaign.

Commerce Minister TipuMunshi launched the logo for the campaign at the event. TapanKanti Ghosh, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, attended the programme as special guest. DrMdJafar Uddin, Chief Executive Officer, BFTI, chaired the session.

Speaking on the occasion  BGMEA President Faruque Hassan said, “Bangladesh has come a long way in the last 50 years and obtained a prestigious position in the world.”

“As we are looking to expand our trade with the world to pursue our vision to making Bangladesh a developed nation, we need to promote ‘Made in Bangladesh’ internationally as much as possible to build a strong brand image,” he added.

This unique initiative has been taken up by the Ministry of Commerce and coordinated by the Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute (BFTI)  with an objective  to showcase the admirable growth and development of Bangladesh under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as well as the success stories of the pioneering private sectors of Bangladesh to the world.

The objective of the partnership is aimed at shining a spotlight on Bangladesh’s phenomenal business and growth story to the audience across the world. The cross-platform campaign incorporates the power of CNN’s storytelling, branded content produced by CNN’s award-winning brand studio Create, along with global audience reach to showcase the country’s journey of economic growth.

The story of pioneering sectors and industries, including the RMG industry, will represent the pride, progress and prosperity of Bangladesh.

CNN will showcase the enthralling stories of Bangladesh’s RMG sector, particularly its strides in workplace safety, environmental sustainability and wellbeing of the workers. The industry’s moves in competitiveness through innovation, diversification, technology upgrading, and up-skilling will be also highlighted.
