Rubel Aziz has been re-elected as President of Banani Club Limited for next year (2021-2022), according to results announced by election commission of the social club.
Banani Club members exercised their franchise on Saturday (December 11) to elect one president and 10-member executive committee.
A total of 545 members of the club cast votes. Rubel Aziz bagged 323 votes against his rival Hasanur Bari who received 211 votes. Rest 11 ballots were declared invalid by the election commission.
A total of 19 members contested for the 10-member executive committee. The elected members are :Md. Arfatur Rahman, Makin-ur-Rashid, Md Abdul Gaffar, MehjabeenBhuiyan, AzizulAbedin, Mahmodul Islam Parvez, Md Sharif Ullah, Sonia SehelyBinteQuashem, Imtiaz Ahmed and Salma Hossain.
