Square Pharmaceuticals Ltd. Has declared Cash Dividend @ 60% to its shareholders for the year ended 30 June, 2021.
The cash dividend was announced at its 55th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held through virtual platform on Wednesday (December 15, 2021).
Chairman of the company Samuel S Chowdhury chaired the AGM.
Ratna Patra, Vice Chairman, Tapan Chowdhury, Managing Director, Kazi Iqbal Harun, Director, Syed Afzal Hasan Uddin and S.M. Rezaur Rahman, Independent Director, Md. Kabir Reza, Head of A&F, Md. Zahangir Alam, Chief Financial Officer and Khandaker Habibuzzaman, Company Secretary attended the AGM.
The Turnover, Gross Profit and Net Profit (After Tax) for the year ended 30 June, 2021 were Tk. 5,835 crore, Tk. 2,590 crore and Tk. 1,474 crore respectively. Turnover and Net Profit rises to 10.24% and 13.80% respectively during the year under review.
Square Pharmaceuticals contributed an amount of Tk. 1,320 crore to the national exchequer.
The Board of Directors has appreciated the performance of the officers, staff and workers whose constant efforts helped optimize the profit of the Company.
The directors acknowledged with keen interest the co-operation and unflinching support received from various agencies including Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission, Stock Exchanges, National Board of Revenue and other agencies of the public and private sector.
Shareholders attended the AGM and many of them participated in the discussion on the company’s performance and expansion in the days ahead.
