NSU holds International Conference on Computer and Information Technology

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of North South University (NSU), has organized the 24th International Conference on Computer and Information Technology (ICCIT) 2021 during December18-20. Due to the ongoing pandemic, this year the conference was held virtually.

Speaking as chief guest at the opening session of the conference Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbarsaid, “Digital Bangladesh is one of the columns of ‘Vision 2021′ announced by the government to fulfill the dream of becoming a middle-income country within the 50th year of independence. The various initiatives commenced to establish ‘Digital Bangladesh’ have played a significant role in the current attainments of Bangladesh”, said a press release.

ICCIT provides a forum for researchers and professionals from both academia and industry to exchange up-to-date knowledge and experience in the field of Computer and Electrical Engineering.

This year papers were invited from all areas of Computer and Electrical Engineering, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Bio-informatics, Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Digital Systems, Robotics, Wireless and Mobile Communication.

Dr. Mohammad A. Karim, Fellow – IEEE, University of Massachusetts, USA, and Dr. Mohammad S. Alam, Fellow – IEEE, Texas A&M University, USA were the general chairs of the conference.

The chief patron was Azim Uddin Ahmed, Chairman, Board of Trustees, NSU.

Day-2, 19 Dec, will be started with the presentation of the accepted works in multiple sessions and a session by Robi Axiata Limited. There willbe many workshops, invited sessions, and an IEEE Bangladesh Section workshop. The Day 3, 20 December, will be continued with more workshops and presentation sessions.
