Al-Arafah Islami Bank (AIBL) opened its 214thbranch at Bamondi in Gangni Upazila of Meherpuron 17 December. Director of the Bank AlhajjMd. Anowar Hossain inaugurated the new branch as Chief Guest. Managing Director and CEO Farman R. Chowdhury presided over the ceremony. Deputy Managing Director Md. Shafiqur Rahman delivered a welcome speech on the occasion. Deputy Managing Directors Shabbir Ahmed, Syed Masodul Bari, Md. Mahmudur Rahman, Mohammed Nadim, Abed Ahamed Khan, Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury and Senior Executives of the Bank participated in the occasion. Gangni Upazila Agriculture Officer Sheikh Md Imran, Meherpur Palli Bidduit Samity General Manager Swadesh Kumar Ghosh, Gangni Police Station OC (Investigation) Manoj Kumar Nandi were also present on the occasion. The ceremony was conducted by Senior Executive Vice President Engr. Md. Habib Ullah.
