ASM Packall to invest US$ 4.8m in Mongla EPZ

Bangladeshi company ASM Packall Export Industry Ltd. is going to invest US$ 4.8 million and establish a garments accessories factory in Mongla Export Processing Zone (Mongla EPZ), a press release said Thursday.

400 Bangladeshi nationals will get employment in this industry.

The company will produce one lac metric tons of different types of bag, zipper, elastic, tape, tag, label, board, paper band, photo card, bar code, collar stand, butter fly etc. annually.

Ali Reza Mazid, member (investment promotion) of BEPZA and Md. Ashraful Alam, MD of ASM Packall signed an agreement in this regard on behalf of their respective institutions on Thrsday at BEPZA Complex.

BEPZA executive chairman major general Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman, witnessed the agreement signing.

Member (engineering) Mohammad Faruque Alam, executive director (PR), Nazma Binte Alamgir and executive Director (enterprise services) Md. Khorshid Alam were also present.
