Banglalink wins “Most Compliant Company in VAT operations” Award

Banglalink, one of the leading digital communications service providers of the country, has been awarded as one of the Most Compliant Companies in VAT Operations in 2020-2021 fiscal year.

Erik Aas, Chief Executive Officer, Banglalink received the award on Sunday (December 12) on behalf of the company at an award function organized by Large Taxpayers Unit – Value Added Tax (LTU-VAT), as part of the VAT Week (December 10-15) celebration.


LTU-VAT introduced a new category “Most Compliant Company” this year to motivate the  taxpayers for VAT payment and contribute to the national exchequer by paying VAT transparently.  Wahida Rahman Chowdhury, Commissioner, LTU-VAT, gave away the award to Banglalink at the function.

 
Speaking on the occasion Erik Aas, Chief Executive Officer, Banglalink said, “We are happy  for receiving the award as one of the most compliant companies inVAT operations this year. Compliance has always been at the main objective of Banglalink’s vision as a company. We have a tough compliance framework and dedicated resources to ensure that all our  business processes are implemented in accordance with the law of the land. This award is a testimony to the efforts we have been making.”

Md Abu Saem, Financial Controller, Banglalink, Sarwar Hossain Khan, Head of Tax, Banglalink, Ankit Sureka, Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability, Banglalink, were also present on the occasion.
