BAT Bangladesh has been accolade with 3 awards (in 3 categories) at the 23rd ICAB National Award for Best Presented Annual Reports 2022. The company has received this recognition for the 8th time since 2016, a press release said on Wednesday.
An award ceremony was held at the Ball Room of Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka, in the capital recently.This year, BAT Bangladesh has bagged awards in 3 different categories: Manufacturing (Position: First), Corporate Governance Disclosures (Position: Third), and Integrated Report (Position: Certificate of Merit).
The winner was selected based on an independent evaluation of the Review Committee for Published Accounts & Reports (RCPAR) of Council-ICAB and due recommendation of the Jury Board.
Tipu Munshi, MP, Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Shamsul Alam, Minister of State of the Ministry of Planning, was present as the Special Guest. Besides, Tapan Kanti Ghosh, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Sharifa Khan, Secretary, Economic Relations Division, Ministry of Finance, graced the event as Guests of Honor, in attendance with other distinguished guests.
In recognition of this outstanding achievement, BAT Bangladesh’s Chairman Mr. Golam Mainuddin was presented with the individual trophy and merit certificates. Accompanying him were the company’s Independent Director, Professor M. Harunur Rashid, PhD, Mr. Sudesh Peter, Head of Legal and External Affairs, and MdAzizur Rahman, Head of Public Affairs and Company Secretary.
