Bangladesh Bank and Mercantile Bank Limited signed a deal on Automated Challan System (ACS) services on Thursday.
Md. Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of Mercantile Bank Limited and Md. ForkanHossain, General Manager, Accounts & Budgeting Department of Central Bank signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations on August 26, said a press release.
All MBL branches across the country could collect the VAT, Tax or other Govt. bill through challan system.
Ahmed Jamal, Deputy Governor, A.K.M. Mohiuddin Azad, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank and Md. MahmoodAlamChowdhury, Deputy Managing Director, Asim Kumar Saha, SEVP & Head of Treasury Division of Mercantile Bank Limited along with other senior executives & officers from both the organizations were present in the ceremony.
