BCB begins disbursing CMSME loans

Bengal Commercial Bank and SME Foundation had signed an agreement in June to facilitate fresh loans to Covid-affected CMSME entrepreneurs

Bengal Commercial Bank Limited is disbursing CMSME loan at 4% rate of interest to the members of Bangladesh Plastic Goods Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BPGMEA), in association with SME Foundation under the government’s stimulus package.

Tarik Morshed, managing director and CEO of Bengal Commercial Bank, handed over the loan sanction letter on Wednesday at the bank’s head office in Gulshan, said a press release.

Shahid Hossain, adviser of the bank; KM Awlad Hossain, DMD; Navera Alam, head of (CRM) SME; Shamim Ahmed, president of BPGMEA,  along with senior vice president and vice president, attended the program.

Earlier, Bengal Commercial Bank and SME Foundation had signed an agreement in June to facilitate fresh loans to Covid-affected CMSME entrepreneurs under the stimulus package declared by the Prime Minister.
