Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defence (FSCD) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at BEPZA Complex on Sunday to simplify fire safety services in the factories of EPZs, said a press release.
From now, the EPZ investors will get fire safety plan approval, issuance & renewal of fire license easily through online. BEPZA and FSCD also can exchange required documents for the interest of the investors.
The release said, BEPZA signed the MoU with Department of Fire Service & Civil Defence as a part of making the one stop service more effective for the EPZ investors.
The release read, the MoU was signed in presence of Md Nazrul Islam, executive chairman of BEPZA by Nafisa Banu, member (finance) of BEPZA and Zillur Rahman, director (operation & maintenance) of FSCD on behalf of their respective organizations.
Md Nazrul Islam said, different safety issues including fire safety for investment are very important to international organizations. He hoped that investors of EPZs will get fire safety clearances easily through online as a result of signing MoU with Department of Fire Service & Civil Defence.
