Md. Jashim Uddin has been reelected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bengal Commercial Bank Ltd. (BGCB) while Alhaj Mahbubul Alam and Engr. Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir have also been reelected as the Vice Chairmen of the Board, a press release said Sunday.
They have been elected unanimously for the second time on 20 February 2023 at the 18th Board Meeting of the Bank.
Md. Jashim Uddin has been playing his role as the Vice Chairman of Bengal Group of Industries, a renowned industrial group, and he is also leading the whole business sector as the President of the apex trade body of the country, FBCCI.
Meanwhile, Alhaj Mahbubul Alam is the President of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Engr. Ghulam Mohammed Alomgir is the Chairman of Max Group.
Bengal Commercial Bank got license from Bangladesh Bank on 23 February 2020 as the 60th scheduled bank of the country. The Board, headed by Md. Jashim Uddin, took charge in the first Board Meeting on 2 March 2020. The bank started commercial operations on 11 March 2021.
