The BGMEA Career Summit & Fest 2023, organized by the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA) for the first time, has begun with great enthusiasm on December 23. The two-day event, supported by BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT), is being held at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara, Dhaka, says a press release.
Faruque Hassan, President of BGMEA, inaugurated the career summit as the chief guest.The inaugural ceremony addressed by Prof. Dr. S. M. Mahfuzur Rahman, Vice Chancellor of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT), Asif Ashraf, Director, BGMEA, Shafiur Rahman, Regional Operations Manager, G-Star RAW, and Md. Shafiqur Rahman, President of the Institution of Textile Engineers and Technologists. The event was also attended by BGMEA Vice President Shahidullah Azim and Director NeelaHosnaAra. Abdullah HilRakib, Director, BGMEA moderated the inaugural ceremony.

Hundreds of graduates and students from various universities, including BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology, Asian University for Women, Bangladesh University of Textiles, and Shanto Mariam University of Creative Technology, visited the event to explore opportunities offered by the participating garment companies. The BGMEA Career Summit & Fest 2023 aims to facilitate connections between talented individuals, including university graduates, and leading companies within the RMG industry. With the active participation of over 100 leading RMG companies, this summit serves as a pivotal platform for networking and career exploration for those aspiring to build a successful career in the garment sector.
