Kristina Hajagos-Clausen, Textile and Garment Industry Director of Industrial All paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) President SM Mannan (Kochi) on 27 May.
BGMEA Vice President (Finance) Md Nasir Uddin, Director Haroon R Rashid, Director Director Ashiqur Rahman (Tuhin), and Chairman of BGMEA Standing Committee on Labor and ILO Affairs ANM Saifuddin were present in this meeting held at BGMEA Complex in Uttara, Dhaka. .
They discussed various issues of Bangladesh’s garment industry, particularly workplace safety, workers’ rights and welfare.
BGMEA President SM Mannan (Kochi) said that BGMEA has given the highest priority to the welfare of workers for the sustainable development of the garment industry. He highlighted the ongoing efforts of BGMEA for the health and welfare of garment workers.
In the meeting, BGMEA and Industrial All expressed their intention to work together to advance the achievements of Bangladesh’s garment industry in areas such as workplace safety and labor rights.
