BRAC Bank was honoured by the Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) for its exemplary contributions to sustainable banking in 2022. The annual event by BIBM acknowledges top sustainable banks and financial institutions that have showcased extraordinary performance in areas like sustainable financing, environmental protection, social transformation, climate change, and their contributions to the sustainable development goals (SDGs). Md. Sabbir Hossain, BRAC Bank’s Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, received the award at the annual sustainable banking & finance conference held in Dhaka on September 30. The occasion was graced by notable personalities including the former Governor of Bangladesh Bank Fazle Kabir, Secretary of Economic Relations Division Sharifa Khan, and BIBM’s Dr. Shah Md. Ahsan Habib.
