bKash has organized a workshop for law enforcement officers and bKash agents of Bagerhat to create awareness on prevention of abuses in Mobile Financial Services (MFS).
With cooperation of Bagerhat District Police, bKash, has organized the workshop recently at BagerhatShilpakala Academy.
More than one hundred agents and police members attended the workshop. Md. NaziburRahman, Additional IGP (retd), Advisor, External and Corporate Affairs Division; A K M MonirulKarim, EVP and Head of External Affairs of bKash and Md. MahamudHasan, Additional Superintendent of Police, BagerhatSadar Circle, attended the event. bKash has conducted the workshop in Bagerhat as part of its countrywide awareness programme to ensure proper usage of MFS, avert criminal offenses in financial sector and lessen the overall abuse in MFS industry. The workshop discussed on the types of crimes committed by abusing MFS, the importance of information exchange related to the investigation to catch criminals and various measures taken by bKash to prevent the abuse of the MFS platform.
The workshop discussed on how to inform the local law enforcement authorities on MFS abuses to help them fight criminal and fraudulent activities.
The workshop also stressed on maintaining compliance through awareness creation .
